Step 1: Run the Activation Script
- Press the Windows Key and type
cmd. - Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. [1]
- Navigate to your Office installation folder by typing the following command (depending on your Windows bit-version) and hitting Enter:
- For 64-bit Windows (with 64-bit Office):
cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16 - For 64-bit Windows (with 32-bit Office):
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16
- For 64-bit Windows (with 64-bit Office):
- Force the activation by typing:
cscript ospp.vbs /act - If you see a notification that the product was not activated, you may need to re-enter your product key manually using the script:
cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
(Replace with your actual 25-character Product Key).
